James completed his Masters in Physiotherapy through the University of Ulster in 2006 having previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Science and Health through Dublin City University. He joins the musculoskeletal team having just achieved a high distinction in his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University in Western Australia.
James joins the Sports Surgery Clinic having spent 6 years in Australia working in sports injury clinics in the University of New South Wales in Sydney and Lifeready Physio in Perth. He was the Lead Physiotherapist for UNSW Rugby Club for 5 years and spent last year as Lead Physiotherapist for Perth Demons in the WAFL. James also worked with elite level Judo, Fencing and Water-Polo players during his time in Sydney. He worked with the Irish International Rules team as assistant physiotherapist in 2011 and 2014.
James enjoys treating all musculoskeletal problems and has a specialist interest in back pain and foot/ankle conditions. He is a strong advocate of exercise based rehabilitation and evidenced based practice.
