Rob Burge BSc(Hons) MSc(Res) CSCS
Rob is a strength and conditioning coach at the Sports Surgery Clinic, working alongside the Surgery’s sports medicine physicians and physiotherapists Musculoskeletal and Performance Rehabilitation teams, to ensure return to play following injury.
Rob has over five years’ experience working in both professional team sport and with individual athletes, at both senior and junior level, focusing on using research driven training prescription to improve performance. Rob has conducted many of his own research projects presenting his findings at renowned conferences in the UK and internationally, and has received an award from the Royal Society of Chemistry for his aptitude in Biochemical related studies in sport.
At present, Rob is actively involved in the delivery of the Sports Surgery Clinic’s ACL and concussion return to play pathway structures, as well as the low back pain programme.
Rob’s focal areas of interest are paediatric exercise science and sports biomechanics.
