Background
SSC believes in providing a holistic approach to medical support in a team environment. When dealing with team sports it is essential that injuries are:
· Managed appropriately in the acute stages
· Assessed and diagnosed promptly by an experienced clinician
· Referred to specialist clinics or radiology where required
Our unique service provides the structure of an elite team, working towards our vision of educating professional and non-professional athletes nationwide on injury prevention and rehabilitation and working with teams to ensure they reach their maximum potential.
SSC has developed the Team Support Service to allow affiliate clubs to avail of a complete service which will cater for all their medical needs efficiently and cost effectively.
The Service
· Provision of a chartered physiotherapist to cover all games on request
· Rapid access to treatment by a senior physiotherapist to ensure early diagnosis and immediate implementation of appropriate rehab protocols
· Regular updates to team management on player welfare and progress
· Rapid access to sports medicine physicians
· Rapid access to Radiology (MRI, x-ray etc)
· Rapid access to orthopaedic consultants when required
- This service ensures your players receive the highest level of care as quickly as possible
- Players return to training at the earliest opportunity, with individualised rehabilitation programs to avoid re-injury
