Paul Moroney graduated from University College Dublin in 1997 and received specialist training on the Irish National Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Trauma & Orthopaedics. In 2008 he was awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth) and was entered in the Specialist Register of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2010.
Mr Moroney spent a year of fellowship training in Foot & Ankle Surgery in France and in the Institut Monégasque de medicine et Chirurgie Sportive in Monaco. He subsequently moved to Switzerland, where he worked with Professor Beat Hintermann. He is a member of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine in RCSI / RCPI as well as the European Foot & Ankle Society and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
His subspecialist interests include sports injuries and fractures of the foot & ankle, bunions and lesser toe pathology, diabetic and neuropathic feet. He performs ankle arthroscopy and total ankle replacement.
