I tore my meniscus when I slipped on a mountain run just before the summer, this put a stop to all my sporting activities, I couldn’t take part in any triathlons I had registered for, and I couldn’t swing a golf club, even walking more a short distance was agony. My physio referred me to Dr Tom McCarthy, who saw me very quickly and, within a short period, booked me in for surgery and repaired my torn meniscus. Dr McCarthy referred me to Caroline Hill in SSC Sports Medicine for Physiotherapy and Strength & Conditioning, and between the two of them, I am back running, cycling and playing golf. The whole experience was excellent, and it’s amazing to be back playing sports pain-free.
