CEO Nigel Harding with Brent PopeSports Surgery Clinic was proud to sponsor Ireland’s first multi – sports coaching conference, which took place last Saturday, 25th July at Citywest Hotel. The conference brought together under one roof over 1,600 coaches, fans and experts in sport.

On the day attendees were treated to talks from top sports personalities such as Pádraig Harrington, Al Vermeil (NBA and NFL legend), All Ireland managers Mickey Harte and Brian Cody and Dr. Liam Hennessy of the IRFU. The Sports Surgery Clinic hosted two sessions for coaches with Dr. Éanna Falvey and Mr. Pat Kiely offering specialist medical and healthcare advice for adult and young athletes.

The conference gave coaches and sports mad fans the chance to meet and discuss new developments in coaching, training techniques and player healthcare and fitness with experts in the field. Coaches were keen to talk about achieving faster recovery times from injury and testing fitness. They have seen the brutal effects of sports injury and are ready to tackle the problem head on by getting help from sports medicine specialists. The clinic website
www.sportssurgeryclinic.com is a great information resource for coaches and players coming up against injury; providing explanations of injuries and repair procedures.

It wasn’t all serious though as Brent Pope, pictured with CEO Nigel Harding and Marketing Manager Ann Margaret Clancy, drew names for the SSC prize draw. Winners walked away with a full fitness test at the Sports Surgery Clinic, designer fragrance and skincare hampers and a bottle of champagne.
