Before the surgery I had been totally dependent on a mobility scooter for a number of years because walking was so painful due to arthritis. I needed both hips replaced and I wanted to get them both done on the same day. I was in absolute agony!

Mr McHugh is a very down to earth and straight talking person who agreed that the best course of action was to do a bilateral hip replacement and this would give me the best outcome. The surgery went without a hitch and when I woke up I was instantly aware that the pain in my hips was GONE. The next day I was up out of bed and starting the rehabilitation process and every day since has been marked by new achievements.

The hospital was extremely well presented, very clean and tidy and the food was excellent with loads of cups of tea. The staff were friendly, helpful and very experienced in their respective roles within the UMPC team.

I can honestly say that I never had any pain from the surgery or indeed since. I have no hesitation in recommending the procedure and I highly recommend Mr McHugh as he is my kind of surgeon.
